Angelo Cappellini
The company was created by Ambroggio Cappelhni, grandfather of the present owner, as a small manufacture where five artisans worked predominantly for stores in Paris. Their products were first presented at the Paris Exhibition in 1897. In 1963 Angelo Cappellini built a factory in Cabbiater near Como, specializing in the production of encrusted frames and reproductions of the most famous French styles as ordered by the clients.
In 1984 the company grew into a modern structure with highly qualified staff and very precise wood-processing equipment. Today the company employs 60 artisans and cooperates with 110 manufactures for the upholstering and finishing of its products as well as the supply of small components, for some of which, it is the only customer. In the last decade Angelo Cappellini strenghtened their positions among the leading companies in their category by taking part in projects for the furnishing of king Fahd ibn Abdul Azis’s residence, the residence of the Vatican ambassador in Brussels, the Kremlin in Moscow, hotel Exelsior in Florence and hotel Regina in Venice.
